The story follows the life of an ex-banker who is now a prisoner at Shawshank's gloomy jailhouse. He was convicted of a non-existent crime. This film shows the unique approach of the man to his torturous new life. He makes friends with a variety of prisoners along the way, including a long-term, wise inmate called Red. --J-S-Golden
