Or well, almost perfect and almost for the whole family. This is something that we need more of during the spooky season; just the right amount of humor and horror mixed together. I'm an adult woman but I love love love these family Halloween films that are easy to watch and still manage to give me that magical feeling. The movie starts a little slowly maybe but it makes sure we get the necessary details of the main characters' past and personalities. When the real action starts, it's really entertaining and. The CGI is impressive and believable.Wayans carries the responsibility of the humor content of the whole movie or so it seems. It's ok because though, after all this isn't purely a comedy film.Petty much the only thing I'd change is the tacky and cringy phrases the daughter spills out when she fights the evil characters.Oh and Lauren Lapkus as the mayor started out as an interesting and funny character but for some reason she seemed bored and tired as the film went on.Rob Riggle was awesome as always and it was weird in a refreshing way to see him play such a normal character instead of a creepy perv. Just wish he had more screen time.I watched this with my 11-year-old, she loved the trailer as she had been wanting to watch her first horror movie already. I'm not letting her watch horror yet so this seemed an appropriate spooky film for her. TV-14 doesn't seem right. If your kids can watch The Ghostbusters, Hocus Pocus etc, they are ready to watch this too.
