Franek, a skilled art forgery and painter, is hired by Hazel, his faithful assistant and a gifted artist to create a piece of jewelry for her brothel. He is awestruck by the beauty of his brothel subjects, but he longs to have more. His assistant helps him find models. Stephanie is a strong-minded, beautiful political activist. She was recently expelled from college for her views and immediately takes to Stephanie. Julia, her young friend, would make a great subject, too. However, she was recently arrested after fleeing from the clutches of her abusive husband who happens to be a powerful police officer.
