Ron Emmerson, a recently separated man, takes his children Tim & Annie with him to Turkey Hollow's Aunt Cly farm. This town has no technology. Annie and Tim get caught up in the search for "Howling Hoodoo", an unidentified monster which has long been a local legend. They also discover the plot of a neighbor who conspires to steal the turkeys.
