Yusuke (Hidetoshi Nishiijima) is a well-known stage actor and director who receives an invitation to direct Uncle Vanya's production at Hiroshima Theater Festival two years later. He meets Misaki Watari, (Toko Miura), who is a young and taciturn woman who was assigned by the festival as his chauffeur in his red Saab900. Tensions rise among the crew and cast as the premiere of the production approaches. Not least with Yusuke, who is accompanied by Koshi Takatsuki (a handsome television star, but also a close friend to Yusuke's deceased wife). Yusuke is forced to confront the painful truths of his past and is assisted by his driver to deal with the haunting secrets his late wife left.
